Since the founding of WHI, we have completed many projects that contributed to the improvement of living conditions of many Moldovans. Please click on the link for each of the projects to learn more information about the assistance that we have provided and are providing to the children, elderly, the sick and other needy.
Community Center
We believe that having a transformational impact on a community requires a daily presence in that community. That’s why we formed a partnership in the summer of 2015 with a non-profit organization, Neemia, in Cobani, Moldova. Neemia and WHI opened a Community Center in February 2017 which serves as a place to address many educational, social, emotional and other needs for the needy in Cobani. Please click on the link below to learn about the specific programs that are being implemented at the community center.

Educational/Children
We believe strongly in the value of education and therefore most of our work has been and will continue to be focused in this area. We have been working on improving the educational infrastructure in kindergartens and schools in Cobani. As a result of our work many children have better learning conditions and access to better educational materials. Please click on the link below to learn about more specific educational projects.

Elderly
The elderly in Cobani are vulnerable and need our help. The average pension for a retiree in rural areas in Moldova is less than $100 which covers about 50% of their basic needs. We have been working on improving elderly’s diets, providing medications, repairing their homes, and providing heating supplies for the winter. Please click on the link below to learn more information about the projects for the elderly.
Healthcare
Since Moldova’s independence in 1991, access to healthcare has decreased drastically for many ordinary citizens. WHI has been working on improving the healthcare infrastructure in rural areas and improve access to quality health care for the sick. Since 2007 we have been assisting the doctors at the Healthcare Center in Cobani, which serves about 5000 people in the five surrounding villages, to improve their services to the patients. Please click on the link below to learn more information about specific healthcare projects.
Training
We believe that the best change comes from within rather than from outside. Therefore, we hope to work to train local citizens to become the agents of change in their communities. We have been working to identify potential partners in Moldova who will assist in developing and implementing training programs in the areas of entrepreneurship, civic engagement, community development, leadership development and other areas.
